Wunmi Mosaku

Wunmi Mosaku trained at RADA.

Most recently Wunmi played singer Carla in the Stephen Poliakoff 5 part drama ‘Dancing on The Edge’ for BBC2.

She played a leading role in feature film “The Citadel” for Sigma Films alongside Aneurin Barnard and James Cosmo released in 2013.

Wunmi additionally played a cameo in Stephen Frears’s BAFTA nominated feature film ‘Philomena Lee’

In 2012 Wunmi played ‘Rosa’, a supporting lead in BBC1′s 6 part modern forensic crime series ‘The Body Farm’ starring Tara Fitzgerald.

She also featured in ‘Stolen’ for the BBC directed by Justin Chadwick and starring Damien Lewis, as well as ITV1′s ‘Vera’ in which she starred opposite Brenda Blethyn.

In 2010 Wunmi played the lead role in the Channel 4 feature ‘I am Slave’, directed by Gabriel Range (Death of a President) and produced by Andrea Calderwood (The Last King of Scotland), which had its international premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.

Wunmi was awarded Best Actress in a mini-series by the Rome Fiction Festival for her portrayal of Joy in Joe Penhall’s BBC 2 drama ‘Moses Jones’.

Wunmi was featured in the 2010 Harper’s Bazaar’s ‘England Glory’ feature on the new crop of British female acting talent who are ‘conquering the world’ and Instyle Magazine’s 2011 Bafta edition feature: ‘Cool Britannia’ on this year’s rising stars.
